The text is from I Samuel 1-3. The big idea is to look at the main actors in these chapters and see how they might relate to us today. (Hanna is faithful, Eli is privileged, Samuel is attentive, and God is Just and Merciful.) image by freepik.com
This sermon starts a new series with the context of 1 Samuel, by looking at the end of the Book of Judges. The text is from Judges 21. The big idea is that even in the worst of times God is seeking those who will worship Him.
This sermon is about our Mission and Vision statements. The text is from Ephesians 4:1-7, 11-16. The big idea is to remind us why we’re here and where we’re going.
The theme for this sermon is resting in God, specifically in the area of our “busyness.” The text is Luke 10:30-42. The big idea is that we need to slow down and “sit at the feet of Jesus” in order to experience His grace AND be effective in His service.
This week we address the most important question of all, “Who is Jesus, Really?” The text is Colossians 1:15-20. (The answer is “God, Lord, and Savior .”)
This week we’ll deal with the subject of “coming to church vs. coming to worship.” The text is John 4:19-30. The big idea is that true worship flows from the heart on the basis of the revealed truth of God – and results in action.
